Weekly Bible Verse Challenge - Matthew 16:18

When I was a kid, my neighbor used to have church in his living room. They had lots of children but Always made room for more.  I remember, they served delicious butter cookies and milk, so the child in me looked forwarded to attending as often as possible.

Every week we would have to memorize a bible verse and learn how to apply it to our young lives. It was not until years later that I understood the Power of this teaching. I am forever indebted to the amazing Reverend Matthew Best!

Its time we all Own our Power and realize the Greatness that resides in all of us.

I challenge you to memorize one bible verse a week and share with this group and others the strength, guidance, wisdom and change the memorized bible verses reveals to you and your loved ones.  Let's start with one of my favorites!

Upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18

The rock represents my body, the church represents my belief system and the gates of hell represents betrayal, failure, disappointment, sickness, doubt and all the trails and tribulations we encounter.  This bible verse reminds me that because God dwells inside of each one of us, that We have the power and the strength to protect our Spiritual Church no matter what comes or way,  Weapons my form, but they WILL NOT PROSPER!

Tell us what this bible verse means to you and how it can help others.
